 Fundamentals of Circle

  cir-7
  •    OP  –           Line segment from center to its periphery is Radius of Circle
  •    AB  –           Line segment joining two endpoints on circle is a Chord of Circle
  •    TP  –           Line segment passing through center and joining two endpoints on circle is Diameter
  •                       Any chord passing through center is = Diameter
  •    Diameter = 2 times of radius , if radius is ‘r’ then diameter ‘D’ = 2xr
  •    Chord ≠ Diameter,   if not passing through center
  •    PQR is arc of circle
  •  a°” is central angle of circle
  •    The ratio of length of an arc to the circumference is equal to the angle of sector ‘a’
  •    The region bounded by two radii OP ,OR and arc PQR  is  a sector of a circle
